It is known to be the headquarters of Shingon Buddhism, which is one of the major schools of Buddhism in the country. This makes it the perfect place for the Shikoku Pilgrimage to both start and end. </p> <p>So, if you would like to see the Shikoku Pilgrimage with your own eyes, then you should head straight to Tokushima Prefecture. You could even take an internal flight direct to Tokushima Airport, to save yourself the hassle of attempting to get there by other means of transportation.</p>
